Neunkirchen, 13th March 2024. The technology for a secure and reliable power supply at all times is one of the most important components of a data centre. Power distribution units (PDU) provide the basis for smooth server operation. In order to meet different user requirements, SCHÄFER IT-Systems has entered into a new cooperation agreement in the field of PDUs with Dutch manufacturer Schleifenbauer.
Safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness go hand in hand when selecting the right PDU technology for connecting IT racks. With a wide range of different versions, from basic to fully managed PDUs, SCHÄFER IT-Systems covers the most diverse fields of application, from edge data centres to larger data centres, and therefore always enables power distribution in line with requirements. The company has extensive, long-standing expertise in IT infrastructure and offers complete solutions under the iQdata brand.

While Basic PDUs are used when high availability without management or monitoring is required, Smart PDUs offer additional network functions and intelligent control options. They enable energy consumption to be monitored in real time and therefore fulfil the legal requirements of the German Energy Efficiency Act, among other things. Thanks to the flexible design, iFlex rack PDUs can be tailored to meet customer requirements from a batch size of 1. An extensive range of accessories rounds off the overall concept.
